TOP SHELF SELECTION:
DAOU 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon - Paso Robles. "This killer Cabernet Sauvignon is loaded with notions of black raspberry, cassis, spice and licorice. More textured, voluptuous, layered and concentrated than all of the previous vintages, it will have an easy 10-15 years of longevity.” 93 pts. The Wine Advocate.
WHITE WINE SELECTION:
Devois de Perret 2015 Rosé - France. A blend of 45% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 15% Mourvèdre, this Rose is a smooth, easy-drinking rose blend with aromas of grapefruit zest and strawberries that are lifted by bright acidity and a clean menthol note on the finish. Yes way, Rosé!
Peter Yealands 2015 Sauvignon Blanc - New Zealand. Ripe notes of passionfruit and guava, underpinned with aromas of fresh herbs and blackcurrant. The palate is brimming with zingy fruit that is balanced with a long, crisp mineral finish.
Walt 2013 Chardonnay - Sonoma. Effusive aromas of pineapple upside down cake, toasted hazelnut, and delicate honeysuckle. The palate offers up flavors of crème bruleé and lemon curd. The texture on the mid-palate is decadent and round, finishing with a bright, flinty minerality.
RED WINE SELECTION:
Chateau du CAYROU 2012 Cahors- France. A blend of 95% Malbec and 5% Merlot, this opens with meaty Bordeaux-like aromas of cassis, black raspberries, tobacco and loamy earth. On the palate, the wine’s lush and suave attack is framed by the Malbec’s fine, palate-coating tannins. Suggestions of walnuts, wood smoke, tobacco, bitter chocolate and vanilla mark the impressively long finish.
Flegenheimer Out of the Park Petite Sirah -Australia. "A blend of Shiraz and Petite Sirah, this wine exudes aromas of warm blackberries and crushed black plums with hints of mulberries, black pepper,. Very big and full-bodied, it fills the palate with warm berry preserves flavors and just a touch of pepper that is offset by chewy tannins and up-lifting acidity.” 91 pts., The Wine Advocate.
Graffigna Centario 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon - Argentina. This Cab has a vivid nose of spices and blackberries along with toasted aromas from it oak aging. Structured and round with black fruit flavors and hints of vanilla.
