Finely etched flavors of black cherry and blackberry are framed by licorice and toast on the long finish.
WHITE WINE SELECTION:
Petit 2015 Chenin Blanc - South Africa. A youthful fresh wine with quince and pear drop flavors. Earlier picked freshness shows on palate with crunchy green apple and grapefruit flavors. Good mouthfeel and tangy finish.
Wairau River 2015 Sauvignon Blanc - New Zealand. Intense aroma of ripe tropical fruits and citrus. The body is refined and elegant, with a finely textured palate and flavors of guava and stone fruit leading to a balanced, subtle finish. 91 pts., Wine.com
Cartlidge & Browne 2014 Chardonnay - North Coast, CA. Fruity, buttery aromas are followed by a generously fruit-filled flavor, smooth texture and buttery aftertaste. It's a well-balanced and well-rounded wine of medium body, and has a tasty finish.
RED WINE SELECTION:
Procedo 2013 Red Blend - Columbia Valley. This Super-Tuscan style blend has a pleasing plush texture that delivers bold flavors of black cherry and blackberry fruit, with a hint of blueberry in the background. Though pleasingly soft, there is good acidity, and a fine-grained tannin structure adds backbone. 81% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc.
Labertino 2014 Malbec - Argentina. The nose possesses notes of plums with aromas of raspberries and figs; subtle hints of soft tobacco and vanilla are noticeable as well. Superb tannins standout, giving a great velvet body to the wine.
Souverain 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon - Central Coast, CA. Vivid aromas of roasted vanilla, mocha and baking spices which meet elegant layers of blackberry and ripe cherry flavors. The full mouth feel is extracted and rich and framed by thick mouth coating tannins. The fully balanced fruit, tannins and acidity, lead to a juicy and lengthy finish.
