TOP SHELF SELECTION:
Reininger 2011 Syrah - Walla Walla Valley. Scents of lavender, violet, hint of white pepper. Fine drying tannins accompany flavors that begin with blueberry, loamy minerals and black raspberry then evolve to huckleberry and cassis. Nutmeg and white pepper become more pronounced at mid-palate while anise awaits to expose itself in the very last drops of the glass.
WHITE WINE SELECTION:
Chateau d’Esclans 2015 Whispering Angel Rosé - France. "Aromas of chalk, stone, light strawberry and lemon follow through to a full body and tangy acidity with plenty of flavor at the finish. Lively and delicious." 91 pts., James Suckling. Yes Way, Rosé!
Mud House 2014 Sauvignon Blanc - New Zealand. "After some struck flint on the nose, this shows classic Marlborough Sauvignon characters, ranging from snow pea and cut grass to grapefruit and pineapple. It's medium bodied, with a clean, crisp finish..." 90 pts., Wine Spectator.
Wente 2014 Morning Fog Chardonnay - Livermore Valley. “Apricot pit and ripe apples in the nose, very good quality, nice depth; medium bodied, nice crispiness in the palate; dry, pleasing acidity, very good balance; bright apple flavors, with an almost note of mineral; medium finish, pleasing aftertaste.” 89 pts., Wine.com
RED WINE SELECTION:
Dado 2012 Red Blend - Napa Valley. A versatile red blend that is easy to like and even easier to drink. Sweet ripe fruit flavors of cherries, raspberries, and blackberries give way to a long finish with a very slight touch of tannin.
Marques de Riscal 2012 Próximo - Spain. This Rioja is bursting with dark blackberry fruit with notes of rich, ripe plums. Hints of cherries, licorice and star anise on the finish. 93% Tempranillo, 5% Graciano, 2% Mauzelo.
Purple Cowboy 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon - Paso Robles. Ripe plum, cherry and cassis aromas with a touch of cola and vanilla. Loads of plum and berry flavors with that slight cola hint and cassis in the mid-palate leading to fine, polished tannins on the finish. Rich and full-bodied in the classic Paso Robles style.
